Introduction
Debating remains one of the most effective ways of developing critical thinking, confidence, communication skills, and leadership among young people. In line with the vision of S.A.L.T to promote educational development, a propose plan of a debating competition involving secondary schools within the federal Capital Territory. This Initiative will provide a platform for students to engage in intellectual discourse, build confidence in public speaking, and develop the ability to analyze and Present ideas logically
Objectives
The key objective of the competition are;
- To foster critical thinking, eloquence, and research skills among students
- To promote inclusivity through equal gender paricipation
- To encourage proper grooming, discipline and confidence in students.
- To create a platform for identifying and rewarding young talents in public speaking.
